Inspired by local rising star Jack Snyder and his passion for supporting young artists, we’re thrilled to present this benefit concert that celebrates the power of music and mentorship.

Hear some of Jack’s original tunes as well as fresh versions of favorites by Paul Simon, Bruno Mars, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, The Beatles, and more! A true community effort, this concert features Jack (singing and playing guitar) in the company of the region’s hottest talent, including musical director/arranger Bill Wightman (keyboards), Michael Zsoldos (saxophone), Tim Gilmore (drums), Brendan Dowd (bass), David Ellis (trumpet), David Tonkin (guitar), Jenny Barry , Sydney Jantos & Alex Beda (backup vocals), and other special guests.

    Jack Snyder is a singer-songwriter who grew up in a musical family and formally started his musical training at the age of 7 – when he began studying percussion under John Cutrone, a well-know jazz drummer and teacher in Connecticut. Living in Vermont since the age of 9, Jack studies vocals with Jennifer Page and Jenny Barry, guitar with Steve Stuntz and continues studying drums with Tim Gilmore. He has also taken piano instruction with Ellen Satterthwait.

Now at the age of 16, he is a junior at Woodstock Union High School. Jack has performed in New England over the past 4 years with the local bands The Current Flash and Automatic Rooster, and has performed at numerous benefit concerts, festivals, theatre productions, community showcases and in school bands and events. He recently shared the stage with Li’Nard Jackson and other special guest artists at The Groove in the East Village of New York City. Since October 2011, Jack has also been working with producer/instrumentalist Adrian Harpham in New York, writing, recording and producing original material.
